I am glad I hoard things.
I mean, I don’t keep everything, but I do keep a few useful things.
Today, it was one prednisone that saved my life this morning. I thought I was going to have to go back to the emergency room, or worse, use my epi pen and then go back to the emergency room.
I do have a virtual doctor’s appointment this afternoon so hopefully she will help me out. I was not doing okay.
Steroids are sort of the worst possible thing at the moment, however, my allergies tried to kill me.
My family thinks it’s from the stevia that my stepdad just started using in his coffee. He set it on the table in front of me the day before yesterday afternoon and I’ve been struggling ever since. As in right in front of me. I inhaled the fumes. None of us knew I was that allergic because I’ve only been exposed one time. Granted, I was pretty sick that one time, but none of us knew.
I had been trying to take the only sort of “antihistamine” I can take, which really isn’t like a typical one, but it hadn’t been doing much to rescue me.
The prednisone however, finally made my face stop itching and the cough mostly go away. I coughed so hard that I think I irritated my airways so that’s going to take a bit to recover I think.
Anyway, like I said, I’m glad I keep a few things. I usually toss extra meds in general, but things that could save my life I hold onto.
