First-Aid

Today I took an adult mental health first aid class.

It was pretty cool.

I had learned some of the facts and information before, but not some of the practical application-type stuff.

I really liked it.

It covered a HUGE swath of info and went a full eight hours, (with a few breaks).

I was glad to be able to participate.

I am now “mental health first-aid” certified.

It just felt good to get out in the community and do something. Especially something that might help someone.

I appreciated that.

Some of the content was kind of triggering however, and I had to sort of compartmentalize that, but I survived.

I’m just really kind of fried.

I’m proud of myself for sitting there all day though. I didn’t freak out once.
