W. Heath Robinson was a British cartoonist in the first part of the 20th century who drew images of ridiculously complicated machines for very simple tasks (read more about him here).

When I am in a depression, I often feel similarly Inefficient. I run around in circles, not completing my tasks, and get bamboozled by all of the things that need to get done.

The simplest of things, like taking a shower, turn into the most complicated task of the day.

It can be incredibly frustrating.

I have learned that I have to be patient with myself and give myself a little bit of grace to get through these days, but I’m not generally very good at that.
