I don’t know if anyone else does this, but I make lists when I feel out of control. Lists of things I need to take care of, lists of things that I’m feeling, lists of things I need to talk to providers about, etc.
I see my psychiatrist’s PA this morning and I made a list of the things I need to talk to her about, with a little blurb about each thing in case she wanted to share it with my psychiatrist. It takes up an entire page.
Anxiety is real ya’ll.
My work desk is covered in lists!! What I need to get done, at work snd/or home, what I need to buy and when, who has borrowed which movies, I’ve created a weekly budget till the end of the year with how much money comes from each paycheck for whichever bill…I feel like my thoughts are too fluid to be able to remember everything, and that writing them down makes them a real, tangible, thing.
Or I’m just nuts! Lol …but thats OK too.

I get this. As I said, lists help me feel like I have control over my chaotic life, but they also do help with the “ooh! Shiny!” part of my personality as well. I’m not sure if that’s bipolar or the provisional ADHD diagnosis or what, but lists are super helpful for me too!
